The process doesn't change. The paperwork does.
We collect, count against your list, seal, book in, sanitize and document — the same way for a district, an agency and a business. Anyone claiming a fundamentally different methodology per sector is describing marketing, not operations.
What genuinely differs is the reconciliation. A board wants to know what the exercise returned. A property officer needs the record closed under a disposal authority. A finance team wants the register to agree with reality. Same collection, three different documents at the end, and the specification has to be written for the right one.

Multi-site collections, one manifest format, and the exception line that finance actually asks about. Read this if your asset register is out of date and you know it.
Managed fleets, the console release that has to happen before collection, and the report a board can read. Read this if you own a one-to-one program reaching end of life.
Working under your disposal authority, property-record reconciliation, and a plainly stated boundary on what we are not registered, certified or cleared for. Read this if a plant clearance officer or a property officer is involved.
Not sure which you are
Plenty of organizations are more than one. A private college has an education calendar and a business register. A defense contractor has commercial equipment and accountable property on the same pallet.
Tell us at scoping which obligation is driving the project — a contract clause, a grant condition, a retention policy, a disposal authority — and that document decides the method and the documentation rather than the sector label.
