What we do

Five pages covering the chain end to end, from the count at your loading dock to the closeout file.

Start here if you're not sure which page you need

We collect retired phones, tablets and laptops, take the data off them in our own facility, and route what's left to reuse or recycling. Every step produces a record, because the record is the part you'll be asked for.

If you're planning a whole project, start with IT asset disposition. If you already know the shape and want the detail on one step, go straight to that page.

Two laptops of the same model side by side: one closed, scuffed and dulled with a pale patch where a label was peeled off; the other open, clean and switched on.
The same machine, either side of the work.

The whole sequence end to end — scoping, inventory, collection, sanitization, grading, reporting. Read this one if you only read one.

The steps, in detail

How the devices are counted, sealed and booked in, and where the custody chain starts. Read this if the question you have to answer is where a specific serial number went.

A technician in a dark green work shirt and gloves at a bench, face in profile, concentrating on a small drive held in both hands.
Method chosen per device, recorded per device.

How we sanitize to NIST SP 800-88 Revision 2, what the certificate carries, and what happens to a device that fails verification. Read this if somebody will ask you to prove the data is gone.

Grading scales, remarketing channels and settlement reports. Read this if your equipment still works and you want to know whether the offer you've been given is a real number.

Downstream chains, what Colorado requires, and the question that separates a recycler from a broker. Read this if the material is finished and the documentation has to hold up.

Who this is for

Whoever ends up answerable for the equipment after it's gone. Usually IT, often finance when the register won't close, sometimes security or procurement, and on a school or agency project frequently somebody who inherited the question.
